Fight summaries:

17. Thunder put up a good fight, and it was even through 7, but Neumann clocked him for an 8 count KD and got the nod, 77-75.

18. After an even round 1, Foster was way ahead in round 2, as Ballard hadn't scored any points, but Jody fired off a combination and got the knockout at 2:53 of the round!

19. This was a gross mismatch, as Stewart pitched a shutout, rarely even getting hit! He nailed Ray for a 7 count KD to start the fight, then got a 2 count KD at the end of round 5, and Ray never recovered, turning into a human punching bag until the fight was stopped!

20. This fight was a brawl! Rocky scored a 7 count KD in round 1, but Hazelton came back with two 5 point smashes in round 2 and a 6 count KD in round 3! The tide turned at the end of round 5, as Rocky notched his 2nd knockdown, a 2 counter! Hazelton fought gamely after that, but Rocky landed way more punches and points the ret of the way. The judges all had it 75-74 (I was 74-73) in a crowd-pleasing fight! The Rock moves on!

21. Irish Pat surprisingly dominated the action, doubling Willis in both points scored and punches landed.

22. In the battle of the Bills, Hunter started fast with a 3 count KD in round 1! Squires recovered and started pounding Hunter in round 3, hitting him more each round. Hunter's eye was pretty swollen, and he couldn't fight back in round 5, as squires poured it on until the ref stopped it at the 2:40 mark!

23. This was a dull, low-scoring affair, as the two played pitty-pat with light punches. Franklin built up a pretty safe lead, but Hunsaker had a huge round 8, outscoring Marty 22-10. This swayed one judge, who went 77-76 for him, but the other 2 and me scored it 78-75 for Franklin. The crowd's silence was deafening!

24. The Sailor hammered King around the ring in round 1, setting the tone for the fight. Carroll committed 4 fouls, which gave Solomon the nod in several close rounds. Sailor notched a 3 count KD in round 7, winning a 78-74 easy decision (one judge had it 80-72)!

25. This was a defensive match, with the fighters alternating rounds in terms of scoring. I had it dead even, as there were no close rounds from a points perspective. Harris won the last round, and that must have swayed 1 judge. The third, who must have been watching the battle at the buffet, scored it 78-74 for Harris. Monaco clearly deserved a draw, and will be looking for a rematch!

26. Agosto continued to be extremely impressive, winning every round. Couser may have lost heart when, leading 14-0 in the 4th round, Pedro suddenly knocked him down for an 8 count! pedro pounded him in the 5th round, then scored a one punch KO at 0:14 of the 6th!

27. Jack Roper outclassed Pharo, winning by large margins in all but one round, and capping things off with a 9 count knockdown in the last round! It was an easy 79-72 decision, and the judges were kind to Oscar.

28. This one was a slugfest, and the last man standing won! Bates scored a 4 count KD in the opening round, when both landed many punches. Rodgers scored more heavily in round 2, and round 3 was even. Rodgers landed a big hook in round 4, and Bates was counted out at 0:35! The crowd cheered both fighters!

29. In the battle of the Als, benedict was a wee bit better than Palzer, and his round 8 5 count KD sealed the win, 77-74.

30. This was yet another see-saw fight that I saw as a draw. Obviously, my vision is flawed, as the judges had it 78-75 and 78-76 for Munroe. Brooks deserved better!

31. Soldier Kearns continued his trek toward the title, and his performances are increasing his fan base! In a rock em, sock em bout, he put George down twice in the 1st round, for 8 & 7 counts, and outscored a dazed George 30-0! Linberger had no quit in him, and hurt Soldier in round 2. Round 3 was qiet, but George continued his assault in round 4, garnering a 4 count KD and cutting Soldier's left eyelid, causing a temporary halt. Worried that the fight might be stopped, Soldier stormed the ring in round 5 like one of Teddy's Roughriders, tagging George for a huge hook and a 9 count KD. Soldier then went for the kill and got it!

32. Gregg's TKo came with a second left in the fight! Why it didn't come sooner is the question, as he knocked Tucker almost to Boston, scoring 2 knockdowns (rounds 1 & 6) and averaging almost 20 point per round! Tucker was plumb-tuckered after absorbing this beating!

So, soon, it'll be on to Round 3, the Terrible Thirty-twos!
