Even at $6, the folks the bought OOTP2007 are being screwed. I don't care how much $$$ it is, I don't care for it when a company makes me pay more for their product then others have to. This is NOT good business no matter how you look at it. If you think different, then quite simply put, you are wrong.

Nonsense. As a business traveler I regularly pay 2 and 3X the going rate for air travel because I book on short notice. On the other hand people who have flexible schedules can book last minute vacations via "sell off" travel agents at 50% to 80% off the going rate. When no one buys cars you get rebates and 0% financing. When everyone buys cars they point to the sticker price and shrug their shoulders. I go to a cut rate Grocery shop that sells vegetables at 50% less than the "Name Brand" store. I'm sure there are many other examples of situational pricing available.
I think the folks at OOTP have made a very savvy and fair business proposal. One that allows all of us to make a reasonable buying decision, based entirely on our own needs.
In defense of Markus et al, we are not talking about Microsoft or Apple or Sega here. None of these guys is getting rich on this and I am willing to support their efforts. You are entitled to your opinion, but arrogant about your knowledge of their business needs.
