Okay - this keeps happening and I can't find a pattern. Anytime the pitcher gets injured when playing out a game, it always crashes, but I've yet to determine how or when with any kind of consistent pattern. Sometimes I do a double-switch and it happens when I first put the position player in. Other times it doesn't happen until I assign "P" to the new pitcher I'm putting in the injured player's place.

The only thing I've noticed is that the crash almost always happens right after I've assigned a position with the drop-down box. Usually when you do that, you see all the position drop-down boxes kind of flash or flicker, as if it's just processed the change you made and verified all the other positions are OK (i.e. you don't have two players at the same position). That flash or flicker isn't happening when this crash occurs. You set the position, then instead of the flash/flicker you hear your hard drive churn and then eventually the crash message.

Bottom line - this absolutely positively must be found and fixed in the next version. Substitutions in general need to be done a little better (like maybe a "Confirm" button before lineup changes become permanent). Basically, all of my pitchers are invincible since I play out every game, because any time one of them gets injured in-game, it crashes. It gives my team an extremely unrealistic advantage, and frankly, it's really annoying.

Is there anyone else playing in a historical Lahman import league that hasn't experienced this? I'm surprised there isn't more of an outcry about this bug, which means it's either rare or I'm one of the few people playing the game this way (simming historically starting in 1970, following basic MLB rules, playing out all my team's games). I'm playing in 1971 right now so I'll have the DH on my AL team in 1973, so I'm hoping that the bug won't be as prevalent when dragging the sub pitcher to the non-lineup part of the screen. Here's hoping.
