June 2008 - Milwaukee Brewers
Manager and GM Fritsche
13th June 2008
This is another key series against the Buffalo Blizzards. As their are only twelve games left before the All-Star Break every game counts now if we don't want to be out of contention in July already. Webb's first game is at Miller Park against Jamie Richmond who gets a start out of the bullpen
Game #64 – Buffalo [32-31] (J. Richmond 3-2, 2.32 ERA) at Milwaukee [30-33] (B. Webb 0-0, 0.00 ERA)
SS C. Izturis - CF J. Upton - LF R. Braun - 1B P. Fielder - 2B M. Reynolds - RF G. Gross - C J. Estrada - 3B M. Gamel
A 4 hour 22 minutes game which you might best compared with the Great Chainsaw Massacre. Combined 37 hits and four blown saves, as well as two completely exhausted bullpens are some other fast facts for this thriller. The game looked like a honeycake debut for Webb when the score was 5-0 after the two innings and the Buffalo starter was already in the dressing room. But Webb should completely break down in the sixth inning, giving him maybe his worst outing this season. The lead would eventually change in every of the following innings with the Blizzards seeming to have an advantage giving the ball to their masterful closer Marshall with a two run lead. But thankfully the very same Marshall couldn't handle the bottom of our line-up giving up the game tying homer to lowly back-up catcher Blanco. He then loaded the bases with the top of our line-up, setting the table for Ryan Braun to collect the game winning hit.
Buffalo at Milwaukee: 11-12

SS Cesar Izturis (.349, 0 HR, 22 RBI, 18 SB) was injured due to a collission at 3B. He is placed on the DL. He's spot will be given to the one and only Luis Rivas (.031, 0 HR, 2 RBI - .447, 0 HR, 7 RBI / AAA).
