Billy Daniels has agreed to fight Oscar Bonavena again, if they can agree to a fight in the US. The first fight, that ended in a (unfair?) disqualification of the argentine was held in Buenos Aires. The contract was signed the next day for an August fight on the undercard of Chuvalo - Jones.

Jerry Quarry will fight Henry Clark in his second defence of the IBF title. This was announced yesterday. Henry Clark is ranked #8 in IBF. Many were dissapointed that he didn't fight Leotis Martin like most had expected. The fight will take place in October.

Billy Walkers manager annouced that he will take on the EBU #1 and WBO #10 Gerhard Zech. This will take place in September.

Doug Jones has announced his retirement. He holds a record of 31-11-1 (23). He has fought many great fights, was the first to take Muhammad Ali to the 15th round decision, and holds some good wins over fighters such as; Kent Green, Sonny Banks, Thad Spencer, George 'Scrap Iron' Johnson, Amos Johnson, Karl Mildenberger, George Mahoni and Malcolm Price. He has lost his last 4 fights so therefore it wasn't much of a surprise that he retired.
