June 2008 - Milwaukee Brewers
Manager and GM Fritsche
25th June 2008
Last game before the All-Star Break: Would look nice to sweep those Cubbies? Capuano takes over the Nr. 2 spot in the rotation as Gallardo struggled recently.
Game #75 – Chicago [39-35] (M. Prior 6-6, 5.11 ERA) at Milwaukee [39-35] (C. Capuano 8-3, 3.17 ERA)
SS A. Escobar - CF J. Upton - LF R. Braun - 1B P. Fielder - RF G. Gross - C. J. Estrada - 3B M. Gamel - 2B O. Infante
The Cubs scored in the first, but the All-Star Chris Capuano stroke back by delivering eight solid innings to earn his ninth victory of the season. The team gave him some solid run support and the Cubs wasted a fair deal of baserunnes. The victory means we are heading to the break as division leaders.
Chicago at Milwaukee: 2-7
W: C. Capuano (9-3), L: M. Prior (6-7)
HR - R. Cedeno (7) / J. Estrada (5)
MoM: C. Capuano - 8.0 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 4 K
Elsewhere:
The Baltimore Orioles lost reliever Luis Lebron (2-1-0, 5.45 ERA) for eight months with back spasms.
