12th round pick Juan Rocha had the best possible start to his career by pitching a six hit shutout for the Helena Brewers in a 7-0 victory over the Orem Owlz.
Trades:
The Diamondbacks sent C Phil Avlas (.207, 0 HR, 7 RBI) and minor league CF Derrick Walker (.287, 0 HR, 22 RBI, 13 SB - A) to the Blue Jays for starting pitcher Shaun Marcum (2-10, 6.86 ERA) and minor league 2B Pedro Rivera (.300, 0 HR, 1 RBI).
The Cincinnati Reds sent free agent LF Adam Dunn (.260, 23 HR, 41 RBI) to the Atlanta Braves for pitching prospect Cory Rasmus (7-4, 2.46 ERA - A).
Honestly I think the Reds could have asked much more in exchange for Dunn, but on the other hand they are not known for smart managing in real life either.
