Newcastle can't defend. A traditional problem. Newcastle also can't score. A serious, significant, problem. Their fans are impatient, so whoever does come will almost certainly face unrealistic expectations given the state of the club.
Bringing in BSA, there was a lot of (clearly meaningless) talk about "patience" and "this will take a few years", but I think whatever will to patience that remained, it was bled off when it became apparent that under BSA, Newcastle of the future would look a lot like Bolton of the past. If nothing else, I think there seems to be an absolute insistence that if/when Newcastle wins, they do it in style.
I'm really not sure about Redknapp. As a Toon supporter, I hope they pick the right guy - I just don't know if there is a "right" guy for this club or its army of supporters.
