I think at least some of the things can be done with skins. Perhaps not which screen shows when you're simming but certainly many of the layout issues. Not to mention freshening the look of the game.

There's no tutorial as far as I know. I wish there was. I've asked for help but to no avail.
I did some skins for OOTP 2006 and I've tried to work on skins for this version but it's all trial and error. To be honest, it's too much work to do that when you know there's someone out there who could just tell you what you need to know without the pain and anguish.

IMO, it isn't as much as their happy with the look of OOTP as it is that it's too hard to make a skin when you're just shooting in the dark.
