New York - A massive flood of ticket requests convinced promoter Mike Jacobs to open negotiations with Yankee Stadium to stage the Louis-Schmeling fight there instead of Madison Square Garden. As many as 80,000 spectators are expected to attend one of the most highly publicized championship fights in the history of the ring. Celebrities from the worlds of sports, politics and film have laid out big money for the priviledge of sitting ringside and millions will be listening to their radios at home.
