Nine bouts, 50 rounds and five hours of boxing later, I got home from Foxwoods at 1:35 a.m.
For $100 in the fourth row (ring level) of a pretty neat little house, it was a decent value. I'll let Dave tell the gory details, but local hero Matt Remillard (12-0) returned after a 16-month layoff to win the WBC Youth featherweight title from Manuel Perez (11-4). Scores were 98-92, 98-93, 96-94. Matt seemed to be in a much better mood than his opponent right after the fight, but I didn't think it was quite that decisive. I guess it's good to fight at home.
