Call one Trader Tim and the other Dealer Dan.

That's right, they're at it again. One day after taking control of the American League's Milwaukee Brewers, Tim L. sent right-handed pitcher Marty Pattin to the San Diego Padres for outfielder Jerry Morales.

This marks the second time that these two trade partners have hooked up. Earlier this season, Dan S. sent pitcher Pat Dobson from San Diego in exchange for pitcher Pedro Borbon from Cincinnati. Dan leads all Joy in Mudville GMs with six trades between his two franchises.

Pattin, 27, went 11-18 with a 4.74 ERA in 44 starts. Morales, 21, had just 15 at-bats for San Diego. He posted a .333 batting average with no home runs or RBIs.

Like both Tim L. and Dan S., Pattin is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University. Moreover, Pattin grew up in Charleston, home to the Panthers. In fact, Pattin has a stake in a bar that bears his name there.

"Ownership was afraid that his interest in owning a bar in the future would somehow distract him from his career as a pitcher," noted Tim L.

Dan S., however, wasn't bothered at all.

"I've spent many special occasions there," Dan reported. "The first Cubs' night game . . . the day after the first Cubs' night game . . . the second day after the Cubs' first night game . . . "
