I know. Especially since Smokey Joe was the outstanding pitcher for 1916 plus other years past. Maybe the Bosox GM knows something.
On the topic of GM's and their thinkings, how could the Tigers give up so early on Grover "Pete" Alexander. I couldn't tell what the reasoning was behind his release but the Pirates are certainly happy that they have him.
