August 2008 - Milwaukee Brewers
Manager and GM Fritsche
4th August 2008
As Gallardo is not ready for his scheduled start, this will be the make it or break it start for Freddy Garcia. If he fails, it might be time to call up Aaron Cook who did well at Nashville.
Game #110 – Milwaukee [58-51] (F. Garcia 4-4, 5.29 ERA) at Buffalo [45-64] (K. Johnson 7-9, 4.59 ERA)
SS C. Izturis - RF G. Gross - LF R. Braun - 1B P. Fielder - C J. Estrada - 3B M. Reynolds - 2B A. Escobar - CF L. Cain
The story of this game is dominated by errors (6) and stolen bases (6). The Blizzards had 5-3 lead after four innings, but were tagged for fives runs in the 6th. They nevertheless had a chance for a comeback when Stetter pitched himself into the trouble in the 7th. But Elmer Dessens showed once more his worth for the team pitching strong in 1.2 innings. Fujita pitched the ninth even if there was no save situation.

Elsewhere:
Newly acquired Jordan Parraz hit a 2-run-walkoff homer in the bottom of the 17th for the Nashville Sounds in their game against the New Orleans Zephyrs.
According to our head scout Terry Dean 22 year old Yovani Gallardo (6-8, 4.40 ERA) took another talent hit. What to do?
Roster Move:
We send Freddy Garcia (5-4, 5.05 ERA) down to Nashville. Aaron Cook (6-2, 3.13 ERA - AAA) takes his spot on the active roster. Depending on Gallardo's progress Cook will join the rotation or work in long relief.
