Anyway sometime this week I will purchase the game myself, as I am on holidays for a couple of weeks, and will enjoy it as much as I ever did, and more.

Of course there are homer announcers. I have only done ONE fight myself (Ali vs Foreman) Foreman won by TKO cuts in the 8th after getting hammered in the first three rounds. I have been busy rearranging the fighters in a new universe I created and I kinda made a twist of what I did before with 2.0 and a suggestion on the Uni's with 2.5. (along with other tidbits I picked up)
While I like the idea of regional champs I decided to make a twist on it. Instead of the regionals I opted for the IBF, WBA, WBC and WBO to have sperate fighters compete for that particular title. Ex Ali would be in IBF, Tyson in WBA, Dempsey in WBC and Foreman in WBO. Used the new datatbase updated the pool and then just randomly secleted fighters to each division. In addition I left all of the fighters in the men division for a "unification" class. I wasn't done there then one thing I was doing with my 2.0 game was using fighters generated form an excel/open office program I created (this is where most of you remember me) now that the RFG is in place no need for it anymore. Anyway once I generated them I put them in a seperate class to get experience and move up in skills (maybe more on that in a minute) and seeing how the Contender TV show is a hit I decided to make it the contender class. With the "champion" getting a title shot with someone. Version 2.5 makes it so much easier to do this now. That was the first thing after the fight I did was look at the RFG program. I opted for beginner and saw some unusual results which got me thinking...what if I put EVERYONE as beginner what would happen???????
I went with the heavyweights and was very VERY impressed with the results turns out the dominant fighters were in the middle of the pack of the ratings while the not so dominate but still pretty good fighters were going undefeated and the low end fighters actually won more than their fair share of fights early on. So now my virus infection was kickin in but my brain was still working why not instead of having all of your fighters fighting for one or two titles, split them in equal parts have them stay there while figguering out a way for the title holders to fight each other for a "unified title". The WBA (I think) has a stipluation to where if their title holder wins a "unified" fight then the WBA strips them of their title so now I'm really thinking (and coughing) set it up on the four classes let them fight it out a few times (at least 10) get ratings in line and decide titles THEN when the fighters hit PRIME and their real settings are revealed that is when the fun will begin. So at this point I got that idea (and working on seperating the fighters in each setting ok call it politics I guss) now combine that with the RFG and contender so the new fighters won't be intially mixed in with the real fighters once they get the experience then mix them in as their ratings change. The real fighters with horrible ratings once they reach prime will drop to the contender/tomato can training grounds to give a new(er) batch of fighters generated the experience to keep the game going.
I was working on this in 2.0 when 2.5 plans were revealed and 2.5 makes a lot of what I did much easier 500 fighters ready to go in about 5 seconds when it would of taken me weeks to type in that stuff before.
It will take me a few more days to evenly split up the fighters into each division but I think setting everyone to beginner will level the playing field a bit so this idea leaves me just a few questions.
1 When I bring in a new crop of fighters, should I unlink all the current fighters then add or is adding them outright ok?
2. once I do this is there a way I can copy this file from one computer to the other?
3 Is there a quicker way to split them up? Right now I am just highlighting and scrolling down.
4 I have found a few fighters that once I click on their name it asks for a pic. Aside from looking for the pic is there a way to bypass this the pop up is annoying but could it cause problems later?
5. Any further ideas?
