The day was May 7, 1880, it will be long remembered as the first no-hitter in NL History and it was accomplished 5 foot 2 rookie pitcher Larry Corcoran.
Note: A reference to real life here. On August 19, 1880, Corcoran actually did toss a no-hitter, although it was the 4th no-hitter ever at that time. I thought it was very odd and cool how he did it in his rookie season in this game as well.
