Lead up to Iowa Democratic Primary
12/31/07
DES MOINES - Zogby today released it's poll of the Democratic field for the 2008 Presidential election on the eve of the Iowa Caucus. As with the Republicans, the Democrats sport a sizeable field of viable candidates, each with a legitimate chance of winning the White House in 2008.
Based on a poll conducted this week, the nation's voters, if faced with their choice of the Democratic field, assigned their preference for President in the following percentages:
John Edwards - 14.3%
Chris Dodd - 13.5%
Barack Obama - 13.2%
Joe Biden - 12.7%
Dennis Kucinich - 12.1%
Mike Gravel - 11.6%
Hillary Clinton - 11.5%
Bill Richardson - 10.3%
With the margin of error +/- 4.0 percent, the Democratic field looks to be a dead heat.
