The Planetary Extreme Baseball Alliance (PEBA) is looking for an owner to bring stability to the New Jersey Hitmen, easily the strangest team in the league. The previous owners (note the plural) have done a dynamite job with the Hitmen. They’ve got great players, strong financials, and they’re just coming off a bang-up amateur draft. The end result is that New Jersey currently sits atop the standings at the midway point of our season.

So what makes the team strange? While the vast majority of our franchises have maintained the same owner from the start, New Jersey - despite all their success - keeps losing their leader! The latest owner (who, again, did a fantastic job with the team while he was there) had to step down to take care of some personal business. We're looking to fill his spot - for the long haul this time, preferably.

There are a few specific things that we look for in a new owner:

Someone who can commit to devoting time to their team. PEBA owners export twice a week and spend at least an hour or so between sims setting up their major/minor league teams. It’s a fairly light schedule as online leagues go, so keeping up shouldn't be a problem.
Someone who is friendly, sociable and likes to chat with the group. We have a forum set up and encourage owners to post about both PEBA and non-PEBA topics as much as possible. Owners who post earn Contribution Points (CPs) that can be exchanged for benefits at season’s end.
Someone who enjoys writing from time to time. If you look at our news archive you’ll see our owners enjoy writing articles about the goings-on in the league. Our league uses fictional players and these articles really help bring them to life when otherwise have no connection to them whatsoever. Plus it’s just a ton of fun. Again, owners who write earn Contribution Points (CPs) that can be exchanged for benefits at season’s end.
Someone who’ll stick with us for the long run. Lots of people like to join leagues, but not everyone is committed to sticking with their teams through good times and bad. We’re looking for that unusual kind of owner who both loves to win and is up for the challenge when the wins are harder to come by.
