December 1100
What a grand night! It was so successful, we shall repeat it oftenly. Just when it looked like the Yorkists were going to complete a clean sweep of their betters from London, Oscar Siddorn managed a draw against Hrothgar Workman and then, in what was a little bit of a shocker even to us, Archer Rebow just barely edged out our man Finlay Walby thanks to the overly strict callings of referee Angus MacDonald. As far as we are concerned, this match was evened at 3 apiece (we consider the bear to be Yorkist property).
Edinburgh Castle Pugilistics
--------------------------
Ian Coggan 6-1-0 (5) def. an actual bear 7-11-0 (4) by DQ
We figured Scotland fans would be appreciative of seeing an animal in the ring. They were somewhat disappointed by the fact that it wore a muzzle, and more disappointed by the fact that local referee Angus MacDonald disqualified it for low paw-swipes.
Garfield Randull 6-1-0 (4) def. Leo Ayling 5-4-0 (2) by KO-4
York 1, London 0.
Hrothwulf Hambleton 4-3-0 (4) def. Dermot Quenby 1-7-0 by KO-4
York 2, London 0.
Beostar Marsland 5-2-1 (4) def. Howard Smith 7-1-0 (4) by KO-8
York 3, London 0. This is unfair! We can see Randull and Hambleton beating Ayling and Quenby, but Smith was an up and comer! Marsland must have been loading his gloves. We should have stood up in our straw ticks.
Puddington Frankham 5-4-0 (3) def. Sebastian Turberville 4-2-2 (4) by DQ-4
York 4, London 0. Now this just takes the cake. The new man Angus MacDonald appears to be very, very strict. He's yours, Scotland. You can have him.
Oscar Siddorn 6-3-3 (3) drew Hrothgar Workman 7-4-2 (3)
York 4, London 0, 1 draw. Finally, London fans had something to cheer about. Or at least not boo.
Archer Rebow 10-2-0 (5) def. Finlay Walby 9-1-0 (4) by decision
Walby was called for punches to Rebow's lower back area in the first. We think that's a pretty strange reason to mark a person off, but then again we do not know our anatomy due to this being the Middle Ages and that sort of thing being highly frowned uponne by the Church.

Hey, somebody insult me publicly so I can replace ForemanFan's missive!
"You're a guileless, witless puke. I'd like to say that that makes us even, but, alas, nothing ever will. Thank Heavens!"
