Out of curiosity, do you still have OOTP 2007 installed? Will your crashing MLB leagues run on it?

I do not have 2007 installed on this machine. I uninstalled it when I got 2008. But I may have the 2007 installer EXE sitting on another machine. I wasn't sure the files would be compatible so I didn't want to try that, but if you think that would work it would be worth a try.
I haven't created any other leagues with the .13 EXE. I could give that a try and sim some games to see what happens.
I did managed to get my current game to advance by clicking "Finish Today" and not playing that day's game (just letting the game sim it essentially). I also had to not make the trade and then make it a day later. It's really weird stuff; it all seems to be centered around Clay Bucholz. He was one of two players I got from Boston in a trade, and when I made the trade then the game crashed when trying to save. So I forward a day and make some minor league roster moves (that include him) and it crashes again.
What I've done up to this point is backup that day when the crashes were occurring, and I'm pretty sure if I restore that game it will crash for anyone else.
What sucks is that now I'm paranoid about every little roster change or trade causing a crash, so I'm saving the game like mad, and that's not a fun way to play.
Also, I don't want this thread to turn into a bash fest. I'm a programmer; I know what it is like to work on a big application with limited resources. It is my understanding that this is a very small programming team (one guy?). And this really is the best baseball sim on the market. I just wish there was a way for my save game files to be of use to the developers for tracking down and fixing problems.
