It costs me about $30 to go to the movies with my wife on one occasion (counting concessions). For another $10, I could get a game that I will play countless times over the course of a full year, accumulating many movies' worth of hours playing it, and in many cases, having more fun. In fact, it's a few dollars less than that $30 if I pre-order.

That's not too bad as far as value goes.

I've said before that I think of OOTP as a subscription service. Every year I pay a given fee and get the most updated version.
