LHW (WBC) Bob Fitzsimmons 24-2-0 (23) v/s Prof. Charles Hadley 17-2-3 (4)
Ruby Robert demonstrated why he is the Champ in the opening round by giving Hadley a boxing lesson. The second round went about the same as the first except for Hadley being a little more active. Hadley learned some thing in round 3 that several others have, you don't leave yourself open when Fitz comes in close. Fitzsimmons caught him with a hard combo and down he goes for the count.
(WBC) Bob Fitzsimmons 25-2-0 (24) (KO 3) Prof. Charles Hadley 17-3-3 (4)

[WW] (WBC) Tommy Ryan 21-0-0 (13) v/s Utah Bob Thompson 22-0-3 (11)
Ryan told us at the weigh in that he had some trouble making the weight but you couldn't tell it by looking at him, he looks amazing. Thompson also looked to be in top physical condition.
The opening round didn't bode well for Thompson, Ryan was able to muscle inside and land some hard shots to the head. Thompson stayed on his feet but everyone could see he was hurting. Rounds two and three were more of Ryan showing why he is the Champ. The fourth and fifth are pretty much the same, Thompson is just out matched tonight. Round six was all Ryan but Thompson found his range in the seventh, stealing the round from the Champion. Well the seventh must have been a fluke because Ryan took control back in the eighth. The ninth and tenth rounds went just the way Ryan wanted them to. There is some light swelling around Thompson's right eye now. The swelling has become more pronounced now in the eleventh as Ryan continues to target it. In rounds twelve and thirteen Ryan continued his dominance over Thompson. Round fourteen was another big one for the Champion. Atleast Thompson might be able to say he went the distance with Ryan but thats about it. The last round was the best action round of the whole fight with Ryan still getting the better of it. Lets go to the scorecards.
Jim LeBel 147-138
George Smith 149-136
Shafeeq Rashada 148-137 all for the winner and still WBC WW Champion, Tommy Ryan.

[FW] (WBC) Young Griffo 21-0-1 (7) v/s Tim Hegarty 15-1-2 (3)
Griffo started out slow but picked it up in the latter half of the round and inflicted some damage to the right eye of Hegarty. Round two was very boring but round three was great. Ryan seemed to have won both of those rounds. In the fourth the Champion was dropped and cut over his left eye. Round five Griffo caused a cut over Hegarty's right eye which is already swollen. Griffo continued his fast pace in round six and seems to have complete control now. The seventh and eighth rounds show more of the Champion's skills as he is keeping Hegarty guessing at how to catch him. In round nine the cut over Hegarty's eye gets reopened but the ref and doctor decide to let the fight continue and again Hegarty just gets out boxed. Round ten it seemed both fighters took a breather but Griffo did enough to win the round. Round eleven and twelve were more of the same story with Griffo easily winning. Hegarty's cut was reopened in round twelve but again the ref and doctor let the fight continue. Round thirteen proved to be another page out of the same book we have been reading. Early in the fourteenth Griffo's cut was reopened but the fight was allowed to continue. Later in the fourteenth Hegarty's cut was reopened again and this time the doctor called for the stoppage giving Griffo a TKO victory and retention of his belt.
(WBC) Young Griffo 22-0-1 (8) (TKO 14/cuts) Tim Hegarty 15-2-2 (3)

[FLY] (WBC) Jimmy Anthony 18-4-1 (8) v/s Chappie Moran 18-3-1 (3)
The first round was a decent action round and it seemed the Champion did just enough to get the nod. Round two was fast paced with the Champ still coming out on top. The third round was all Anthony as Moran could not find him. The action slowed in the fourth and Moran took advantage by doing just enough to steal the round. Moran seems to have found the range as he easily won the fifth. Another close round but we have to give the sixth to the Champ. Round seven was all action with Anthony coming out on top. Both of Moran's eyes are showing some swelling after that slugfest. The eighth round was all Moran. In round nine Anthony landed some quick shots early but he walked right into a nast cross from Moran and fell to the canvas. Anthony could not regain his feet before the count of ten. Winner and new WBC Fly Champion by knockout, Chappie Moran.
(WBC) Chappie Moran 19-3-1 (4) (KO 9) Jimmy Anthony 18-5-1 (8)
