There were 9 KOs and 3 TKOs, 10 unanimous decisions, 7 majority decisions, 3 split decisions and 3 draws. Gerhard Zeck, whose career was detailed in another thread, was eliminated the quickest! All the level 1 and level 2 fighters have been eliminated after their great showing in the box-in round. Pedro Agosto and Keith McKnight may seek rematches after the tourney proper is concluded, as will Danny Wofford!

Three fan favorites remain, John Holman, the pride of Florida, Lee Savold, the choice of da Bear from Chicago, and Johnny Paychek, he of the Connecticut support! Battling Jim Johnson made the cut, but not Young Jack Johnson or George (Scrapiron) Johnson.

Round 2 pairings will be announced shortly.
