Round 11
Martin did not appear to be suffering any effects from the knockdown in the last round as he resumed his attack. Martin was warned for using his shoulders in the clinch. Soon after that he missed a big shot on Ryan and the latter caught him with a big body shot that dropped the champ to his knees. Martin regained his feet at the count of four and the round ended. Javier scores it 10-8 Ryan
Round 12
Martin comes out on a head hunting mission this round and Ryan is willing to trade early. Ryan gets warned for holding and hitting. Martin kept coming forward and Ryan continued to counter punch. *Martin left the ring while Ryan was celebrating but we did speak to Ryan, "I'm thrilled to have been able to fight as well as I did. Martin kept coming forward which threw me off early but once I figured out what he kept doing I just waited for the opening and made it count when it was there. Martin was a good champion, I just hope to be as good as he was."
