I don't know if there's an easier way to do this,but this will work. Go to create custom league-historical league (pick a year)-start game.Then go to game setup-edit league structure-import historical team (master-year-refresh-pick team-import). This will enable you to import teams from various years you will have to repeat the import team process until you have all the teams you want in the game. You will however have to delete the teams you do not want from the initial year you chose for your historical league setup. After you have deleted the teams you do not want you will need to go to the Free agent page and delete all free agents to remove the unwanted players. Hope this helps.
