Bought every OOTP including 2006 & 2007 but never played either of these more then a few hours..

Anyways want to get back into this game and was wondering if what I am after is possible...

I noticed on Padres site there is a Universe Pack, "MLB World Of Baseball 2007 v2.0". I want to start in 1901 and run a "fictional" historical league until 2006 and begin play. However, I am a complete idiot when it comes to "adding stuff" and it appears this Universe pack has uniforms, stadiums etc...So, can I download this file then select a start date of 1901 ?

Or , is there an easier way for me to start a fictional historical league and not spend days trying to figure out how to load stadium packs, etc..

I really tried with 2006 to add mod's etc and read tutorials and the whole 9 yards but I am truly helpless with this stuff. Thinking back to these nights makes my skin crawl and not to even want to try.

If not I will just start in 2007 but I have always wanted to play a fictional game with a rich history.
