Jose Napoles has rebounded well from that setback and has vaulted to the #1 position in the LABA rankings and the #33 ranking in the world. Diego Corrales has continued on his impressive unbeaten streak of 11, and is #26 in the world. The champion comes out and lands the first blow but Napoles responds with a jab, jab, followed by a hook and straight left, 15-9, Napoles in the 1st round. What a 2nd round, 14-13, Napoles. 18-4, as Corrales strings together a few good punches and drives Napoles against the ropes. Napoles responds with a good 4th, 12-4. Napoles unloads in the 5th, as Corrales is trapped in the corner. Napoles lands a wicked uppercut and continues to throw a volley of punches that goes unaswered. Corrales cant go on much longer and the referee jumps in and is waving the fight off! Jose Napoles is the new LABA champion!
