So, after the first week of baseball, the Yankees and Red Sox are fighting for last place in the AL East. Who would have guessed that Yeah it's cold, but it does speak to the Jays and Rays both getting better. Those teams could definately make the AL East race VERY interesting.

As for our first week, I'm very impressed with Wang. Good to see him throw like the ace we need. Chamberlain is throwing like he wants to stay in the pen However, I would expect him in the rotation after the all-star break. Especially if Kennedy doesn't shape up. Patterson or one of the other kiddies is going to be pressuring management for spots in the pen before long.

The offense is sluggish, but that's Ok. It's very early and it's the pitcher's month. It's good to see the Yanks winning these pitching duels though. A stat I saw was the Yanks were 6-36 last year when scoring less than 4 runs. We've already won 3 games that way this year. To me, that's a great sign.

It's scary to think that we need a good outing from Mussina in order to avoid losing the series to the Rays.

Well, that's it for my miscellanious ramblings on Monday morning. Back to work I go

Question to fiance -- How much do you love me?

Answer -- So much that we can get our legs tied together, walking 3 legged for the rest of our lives and I'd love it.
