Well thought I would move straight onto the pitching - but the finances worried me further so back to the line up. Not a lot of flexibility with only the starting catcher coming off the books at 7mill but 5 players off to arbitration. There is another catcher (a 40 steal man) who looks okay on defense but average is going down. Nothing out of this world in the system but looks like there is enough there to cope.
Hands at this level look tied tight so going to look through the organisation. There looks like there is a good 2b at AAA - might be stuck behind a very overpriced 16 mill 2b (with 2 years left). Going to be coming back to that I think. Apart from that there is little around, and what there is seems to be a long way away from the major level. Very little power in the organisation with what there is at ML (only 5 players in club with 10+ HR - all at ML
) I like speed - but this looks very reliant on it without many options.
Now pitching. Will I have options or are my hands equally tied? A seem to have an expensive good club - but no back ups. I'll be looking around for some depth I can tell you now!!
