Can someone please explain to me, or even show a real life equivalent, how the following play could have possibly occurred? There were no bobbles mentioned and no errors on the play.
That incident happened the pitch after I had gone into the line-up screen, so I don't know if they're connected.
Also can someone tell me if the bench coach can call an intentional walk when I haven't, as twice after a first pitch ball so far this season the next one has said they're intentionally walking the batter.
This game also saw many other things that I could ask about that I've found odd like the lack of foul outs, the number of supposed double plays ending up "... safe", and runners advancing on sac flies, but there's not much point as this iteration of the game is in the books. I guess I should have done this managing stuff sooner.
One last thing I'd like to share is that I do smile everytime the ball hit down the third base line that is always just out of the shortstop's reach. Why wouldn't it be the third baseman's?
