Difference is that Hernandez has a history of being successful in the league. He just doesn't have eye-popping numbers. But he wins games and eats innings. Always has and he just looks like the type of guy that can throw 200+ innnings when he's 40.
Ponson was a bad pitcher. Very bad pitcher. I don't understand why teams were even giving him a look during spring training. Don't they learn? Surely they could get the same performance out of that journey man AAA pitcher that makes the minimum.
