Well...somebody is dodging somebody, not sure which lol. Merchant tried his hardest to get Cotto to call Mayweather out. He wouldn't. I don't think PBF is interested in boxing this year. I think the fight will be made but not until 2009 or even 2010.
Not sure if I'm Cotto's management that I like the fight all that much anyway. Mayweather will demand most of the purse, and if he pot shots all day and runs away he'll beat Cotto on a UD easy. If he let's Cotto tee off on him like he let De La Hoya, might be a different story...
I think they are both at the point where they will refuse to take a backseat purse wise to anyone, which will be the problem down the road.
Side note - I don't think Floyd has fought anyone quite as strong as Cotto. Physically Cotto should control that fight - but them judges love Floyd's pot shots so who knows....
I'd route for Cotto of course...though I don't dislike PBF anymore.
