On 5/26 Bartolo Ortiz went down for 7 weeks due to back spasms. He was 4-1 with a 3.20 ERA at the time.

I called up David Bush to take his place in the rotation.

We really improved, closing out May at 16-12.

Bryce Florie: 4-5 with a 4.95 ERA in 63.2 IP. 52 K vs. 21 BB.
