It's not too hard to add in since the pieces are all there. I'll work on a patch that would allow you to use this formula, too. If it's not out in a week, shoot me a PM to remind me.

I suppose you can say it's way off in the same sense that a slap hitting infielder with 2 HR's in the first week of the season isn't likely to hit 60 on the year, even though a linear projection would have him there. Changing the exponent isn't going to remove the impact of early season trends. That's only going to go away with more time and teams regressing to their mean.
