Fight plan: Stander has a hard chin, is very agressive, but can be outboxed easily.. That will be our plan. He does not hit too hard so the plan will be to stay on the outside, be offensive and slowly take out tough Stander. Bugner has the hand speed and power to constantly make up for his average defense with a such fight plan. The most likely outcome will be a clear UD over 10 rounds.

Joe Bugner improves to 31-9 (19) under my guidance. Ron Stander drops to 23-8-2 (8)

Jeff Merritt 31-9 (25) vs Al Lewis 31-7-2 (17), 10 rounds

Merritt is the favourite to repeat the win from the first match between the two, a year ago. Lewis seems a tad shot as he has lost three in a row, all pretty clear.

THE FIGHT

Merritt shocks Lewis by catching him flush and putting him down in the 1st. Lewis didn't seem to shocked as he got back to win a close 2nd. Lewis found momentum in 3rd and landed a clean hook flush that put Merritt on his back, then almost stopped him afterwards. Lewis had the edge in an actionfilled and close 4th. 5th was a step down in tempo and too close to call. Lewis found his former self by outboxing and dominating in 6th. Lewis also dominated 7th, but was detucted a point for a low blow. That didn't stopped him as he kept punishing Merritt through 8th and 9th, before clinching the
10th to an end.
