New to this OOTP I must ask a question about real players and playing from lets say the 80´s onwards.

If I start lets say 1980 do I get the lineups and teams that played during that year. Then very cool to know what will happen in the years to come.
Will expansion happen, will players like Alex Rodriguez pop up later on. Of course not in a Seattle uniform to start with I´m sure.

My main question is if Lahmans DB will help getting players into the league as rookie in correct years.
This sounds like a dream scenario, but I have read some about guys playing out years in 60´s 70´s 80´s and so.

Perhaps one can only play a specific season with correct players...
not setting a start year for a longer run over the years.

If it all has to do with setups please inform me. This OOTP looks very nice and a step up from Baseball Mogul.
I am comparing it with Football Managers, but then Lahmans DB could take this a step further perhaps.

Sorry guys if this question is already answered somwhere in the forum. I have looked but burried among thousand fine FAQ I can´t find it.
