The Flyers still should have been able to overcome that and survive for a single freaking minute but I hope we can put all the conspiracy theories about the NHL to bed now. The Habs not only benefited from a 50/50 call on their 2nd goal but they got a gift penalty in a situation where the whistle is rarely blown.

Looked like a knee hit to me - I don't have the replay at hand, though. In any case, if I saw a knee, the ref might've seen the same. A hit to the knee is not a situation where the whistle is rarely blown - a player can rarely get away with it.
I don't think the officiating was bad tonight. Some close calls (the Flyers' final goal, from the behind-the-net camera angle, looked kicked), but nothing horrible.
