October 2008 - Milwaukee Brewers
Manager and GM Fritsche
3rd October 2008
Last year we also won game two at Turner Field. To achieve that we need more production from the heart of our lineup. Yesterdays victory was mostly Izturis and Blanco. David Bush will be todays pitcher. He was 3-0 in last years playoffs. No idea why the Braves didn't start Thompson whose ERA is three runs lower than Lerew's today.
Game #164 –Milwaukee [1-0] (D. Bush 18-8, 3.10 ERA) at Atlanta [0-1] (A. Lerew 6-10, 6.45 ERA)
SS C. Izturis - RF G. Gross - LF R. Braun - 1B P. Fielder - C J. Estrada - CF J. Upton - 3B M. Reynolds - 2B O. Infante
The first six innings were just peanuts, but things became interesting when the Braves hit two homers off Bush giving them a 5-3 lead. In the ninth we tried a comeback and nobody knows why the Braves brought their closer AFTER the save was already blown. We managed to bat around and scored totally four runs. Fujita was usually rock solid in the bottom of the inning to collect his second save in as many tries. Cesar Izturis went five from five meaning he is eight from eight in the playoffs so far.
