I saw him get knocked very, very cold in a fight about 8 months ago. I don't know if he has continued his 'career' or not since I don't follow MMA all that closely. Any martial art is fun for me to watch, but boxing (and judo when I can see it) always rule.

No, he didn't continued fighting. More accurately he wasn't allowed to continued as after the fight he refused to be drug tested and so was stripped of his license and his fight purse as well I believe. Like Bear said very bad career move on his part.
He isn't the only former football play to try MMA as Micheal Westbrook, former Redskins WR, Jarrod Bunch, former Giants FB, Bobby Jones, former Giants OL, Carlton Haselrig, Former All-Pro OL for the Steelers and later played for the Jets, and Marcus Jones, former Tampa Bay DT, have all made the move over.
