Alright you got me here Spritze with answering my question about mssing years.

I got a few Q on this first, but I will try it out.

I understanf that you filled in missing years for players that had a ML season omitted "inside" his career. Thatīs good.

But how about this adjustment of stats ??????
Then I should never look at the RealStat columns, since it will be messed up, correct ?
If I now (must do start in 1901 seam like it) starts in 1987 or 1994 or whatever year in the 80īs or 90īs will I see records of HR from hank Aaron still stand ?? Cal Ripken on his way to stardom in games played. With adjusted stats he will probably be facing many more than Lou Gehrig in started games thinking about streaks.
More so if it will produce the issue of Paul Abbott. Does he have a HUGE year in 2001 getting 17-4 but other years not so much production ??
With adjustments over time Iīm afraid that banner years will not happend.
Is this a problem of having the cake or eating it. Lahmann or Garlon DBs ??

I am little or more concern on this tampering with stats. If you starts when baseball got going more than 100 years ago it will surely be great, but starting somewhere in the last 25 years couldnīt that create problem for records and such ??
It will help the rating of those odd players but stats on them will bring them up to look like almost everyday players.
I thought on this OOTP that if I had that odd player with only a handfull of games a season he would certainly be injured playing in a full season. I mean ratings would be good for him on short playes, but trying to stretch it would make him injured. Over-use of players that made few games could then be possible in your DB since they are rated for over 100 games.
There might be a real-life reason they had great numbers in few game but never lasted the full length.
Is this something that have been thought upon ??

This is just a throw back from my old APBA board game days in the early 80īs. Using a player for a full season (when he played just 1 month) could reck any historical setup.

I must add this that in Lahmanns DB it has a HUGE problem what I can see when you start in the middle of things (so to say, 1994 ex)
A pitcher like Paul Abbott had some small number of ML experience in 90-93, then he went to minor leagues 94-97. If you starta hist-sims 94-97 he will be retired. Then missing his marvelous years 2000 and 2001 (17-4 for the Mariners).
This is what happend to my case of Andre David starting 1985, the year he had a Minor league year. He came back in 1986, BUT NOT in my game, suing Lahman DB.

I had hoped for Andre David to unretire thanks to the new stats Lahmann must have inserted for 1986, BUT No Sir. So in the Paul Abbott case he will be gone after 1993...
Rest in peace Paul. You never get a second chance ;-(
