As I mentioned in a previous post,
New Uniform Designs (inspired by Silvam), I don't use a single template for jerseys. I use a template for each
part of the jersey. That way I can mix & match different elements to get the effect that I want. If you create a template element with a lot of detail, you only have to do it once. After that you just copy & paste the element into your new template to get the detailed element that you want.
I use a layered format in a free paint program (Paint.net) which is similar to Photoshop. I typically use about 7-8 layers for each design. At the end, all the layers are squashed into 1 final layer.
I have
folders of template elements for...
1. Start
2. Front
3. Side Panels
4. Shoulder Bars
5. Collar
6. Shading (2 layers)
and the layers are finished off with text & logo (as necessary).
The Layered format allows you to get the most detail with almost no effort. The best way to go in my opinion.
So, to make a long story short, I don't have any single uniform templates like most people are used to. I just have a whole stable of template elements.
I would be happy to share my template elements but I don't know if anyone else is using a layered creation format. Since I don't have a website, I am unable to post them. In the link above I asked if someone was willing to make them available but I got no takers.
