Where do you live man, I didn't know you were close.
Out on the Island. About 2 1/2 hours by train and subway, but no way I'm driving in with construction going on next door. Every night they tell you to take public transportation - it must be a real mess by car these days. But, I was determined to get there this year to say goodbye to the Stadium and I was lucky to have a friend of a friend with an extra ticket. Gonna take lotsa pix, buy lotsa beer (not driving, just need to stumble onto the train without falling into the platform gap), bellow the bleacher creature roll call, rub the Bambino's monument for luck, everything I can pack into one last trip. The new stadium will be only a few hundred feet away, I guess, but it will never be the same as old Yankee Stadium.
