October 2008 - Milwaukee Brewers
Manager and GM Fritsche

17th October 2008

Back to New York where the National League champion will be crowned one way or another. Bush will try to stay unbeaten also in his seventh career playoff start. We will also rely on the hot bats of Izturis, Upton and Gross who all do very well so far in the playoffs.

Game #169 –Milwaukee [5-3] (D. Bush 0-0, 3.52 ERA) at New York [6-2] (P. Humber 0-0, 1.26 ERA)

2B C. Izturis - RF G. Gross - LF R. Braun - 1B P. Fielder - CF J. Upton - C J. Estrada - 3B M. Reynolds - SS A. Escobar

We set the tone in the first inning when we scored four runs on six hits and two walks. The Mets were never able to recover as our offense really ran hot. Moving Gross to bat 2nd and Upton to 5th in the order seems to work. Upton leads the club in playoff RBI's now. Mets 3B Gotay commited an error - of course. Tomorrow Game 7!

Milwaukee at New York: 8-2

W: D. Bush (1-0); L: P. Humber (0-1)
HR: - / O. Hudson (1)
SB: A. Escobar (1) / -
CS: - / -
E: D. Bush / R. Gotay
MoM: J. Upton
- 2/5, 1 R, 3 RBI

Series tied at 3.

Elsewhere:

Boston
at Tampa Bay: 7-3

W: J. Beckett (4-0), L: J. Hellickson (0-1)
HR: - / E. Longoria (2)
Boston wins series, 4 to 2 and advances to 2008 World Series.
