There have been some pitchers who have stood head-and-shoulders above their contemporary pitchers as far as hitting ability goes, but really they were still generally poor hitters when compared to position players. Thusfar, Micah has hit better than most contemporary position players, to the extent that I think it's worth keeping an eye on his hitting to see how/if he progresses.
