Oh my. Just figured it out. I had all the 1950's folders in the image section but I had not copied and pasted each folders pics to the image file.
I think this is the first time ever that I've figured out how to get all the player pics to show in the game/profiles etc. And frankly I am very impressed. What a difference it makes.
I'm being tempted to print out the entire manual but I'm hesitating because if the v9 manual has many differences I will have wasted a lot of printer ink obviously.
Now I need to work on getting team logos to show. Then I need to figure out how to do the historical replays so the accuracy increases and I guess you have to go in and adjust each teams computer manager files. I just finished a one run sqeaker in the bottom of the 9th against the Orioles with the winning run coming home and the fielder actually threw to try and get the man going into 3rd!
Anyway...I'm having a good time working on OOTP8 and I am impressed. I'm an avid DMB fan and lately was using Action baseball for my periodic craving for player pics etc. But OOTP has moved Action to the far back burner because this is deep stuff and very detailed. I'm not a career type fictional player but if I can get some decent stat duplication from OOTP8 I'll be playing it right along with DMB for sure. Just played my first full game with the player pics and I couldn't believe it...my fav player of all time...Nellie Fox doesn't have a pic. Funny. Just did some checking etc and sure enough...no Nellie Fox, Sherm Lollar or Gene Woodling. Even checked the spelling of the pics and they aren't there. More work.
