We lost 2B Vinny Rottino (.284, 3 HR, 27 RBI - AAA) to the Blizzards and SP Will Inman (4-7, 5.29 ERA - AA) to the Royals in the Rule V draft.
We signed SS Angel Berroa (.315, 9 HR, 39 RBI - AAA) to a minor league contract.
CF Johnny Damon (.277, 21 HR, 76 RBI) signed a new 2-year contract worth $29,640,000 with the Yankees. Their new Brazilian GM seems to be even more crazy than the last one.
Trade:
The Royals sent 1B Mark Bellhorn (.246, 19 HR, 53 RBI) and minor league closer Felipe Gonzáles (2-0-21, 0.38 ERA - R) to the Indians for starting pitcher Scott Lewis (2-6, 5.23 ERA) and minor league left fielder Stephen Douglas (.322, 5 HR, 47 RBI - A).
