?? about fictional league rosters

While I'm waiting for OOTP 9, I'm hoping someone here can help me with a couple of "how-do-I-do-this" questions.

1) I have a fictional league (the North Carolina League) with 128 teams. I don't manage or GM any of them, I just watch things unfold. So when the league begins, there is a draft, followed by annual amateur drafts. I'd like to create free agents that represent me, my sons, friends, etc. and somehow "funnel" them into one organization to watch them develop and see how they do. Is there a way to do this without screwing up finances, etc.?

2) I have an idea for a "college" league. It would be one league (NCAA), with a division for each conference. Thing is, I'd like for the "power" conferences (and the "power" teams in those conferences) to get the vast majority of the top prospects each year, with only the leftovers falling to the "mid majors". Is there a way to make the game handle this? Of course, as I'm typing this, I'm thinking that I should be able to set up market sizes and financials in some way to make this happen.

Any ideas?
