I made some bad choices of who (overall ratings of fighters) to add in the draft pool in the UTBA and learned from it. So here is my suggestion for setting up your initial roster for the UTBA II.
  • The starting cap will be 100 points. It will move to 105 at mid-point of season 1.
  • You will be allowed only 1 fighter rated 10, only 1 fighter rated 9 and 2 fighters rated 8. You will not be allowed to have any fighter on your initial roster rated less than a 3. You can fill in the rest of your roster with 3 to 7 rated fighters however you see fit to total the 100.
  • Rosters will be submitted to me by PM by all teams. If there are any duplicate choices of fighters on two or more rosters, I'll notify the concerned owners informing them they need to make corrections to their roster.
  • Past owners will not have any special privileges on fighters they may have had on a roster in the UTBA. All fighters in the 2.5 db will fair game to all owners.
The reason for the overall rating guideline is I'm going to add fighters to the draft pool this time around on a pro-rated basis of their overall rating. This is a new start so to speak, so forget the past and those 11 rated fighters. The 11+ fighters will be added to the draft pool on a pro-rated basis.
If every team was allowed one 11 rated fighter to start with, we would not see another one added to the draft pool for the next 13-15 seasons.
I might be wrong, but I interpret this as meaning that there are no restricted fighters rated between 3-10. It sounds like Scot is allowing us to pick whomever we want, even if the fighter was on our own UTBA Season 5 active roster.

With that said, any owner can attempt to select any fighter who was previously on another owners UTBA Season 5 roster. An owner does not have the right to protect any fighter. No one has exclusive rights to any fighters.

Therefore, if I (Tomato City) wanted to pick 8-rated LHW-Prince Charles Williams (formerly on IceTeaBoxing's UTBA Season 5 roster) it would be allowed. The only issue would be if either IceTea or any other owner also selects Prince Charles Williams. In that case, Prince Charles Williams would be tossed from the initial selection lists and the owners would be notified by Scot (SAL) to select an alternate fighter.

This system would kind of be a middle ground for both veteran owners and newbies. There is a chance that a veteran owner can retain part of his roster from the old UTBA, but it also allows newbie owners unrestricted access to all fighters between 3-10 in the 2.5DB
