I can understand the AI devaluing him after a ratings drop, but he would have to have a massive drop to justify an outright release. Clearly he couldn't have had a drop like that and still wind up with 30+ and 40+ home runs. If anything the A's should have traded him.
Clamel, can you post screenshots or data to show what their ratings were before and after their release? What were they like for the few seasons before and after?

I agree, but the reason I ask is because OOTP is notorious for sudden ratings changes and then reversing the changes a short time later. I've seen many cases where a player takes a drop then shortly afterwords gets a boost and vice-versa.
If possible, post a screen shot of their development over that period also.
