An idea I have for the conferences would be to set them up as two alphabet bodies like LBA (in honor of the longest running OOTP dynasty) and TBU (Trunzo Boxing Union in honor of the creators of our great game) Each organization could have their own champions, then the winners of the playoffs and post season tourney would be the world champions.
Again the key thing to me is that we get to play teams from the other conference at some point as it adds some variety to the Season.

I pretty much agree with you Lee. At first I was in favor of having 2 isolated conferences that could never meet unitl the championship match. This allowed for the establishment of good divisional rivalries and kept you pretty much guessing how your team would do against the unknowns of the other conference champion (if you managed to get that far).
But like MLB, interleague competition is also a good thing. With a rotation set up as it is now, you will only face a particular inter-conference opponent once every 5 seasons. Most of the other teams will retain an "unknown" factor if you face them in the championship match.
The major flaw in the old system was that once the Weight Class Championships were established after crowning the EOY Tournament Winners, the titles were stuck in the same conferences for an entire season. Many great fighters never even got a chance to fight for a title and took away something from the league. The new system would allow for, but not guarantee, the possiblity for an individual title to change conferences during the season.
Finally, back to the STATS. While a few may not be interested in the individual points leaders stats, I'm guessing that a few of you guys acutally liked it. Also, each owner/manager got to have some input into naming End of Season Awards Winners for a couple of catagories. A couple of guys never voted, and that's fine, but I think that it was a good thing for the league.
All of the above items added some spice to the league and fostered some good back-and-forth ribbing between owners/managers.
Just my 2 cents...
